Traditional French Cakes

PAUL is a family-owned French bakery, run by the same family since 1889.  Alors, naturellement, you can find authentic French gâteaux at our bakeries in London (and Oxford).  And we are delighted to deliver French cakes to your home.

One of our most popular traditional French cakes is the Fraisier. It’s a beautiful example of the pâtissier’s art, with its layers of airy Genoese sponge filled with mousseline cream and fresh strawberries.  It’s decorated with fresh strawberry slices and topped with a layer of pretty, spring-green marzipan, garnished with whole fresh strawberries. It also comes in larger sizes to serve happy crowds.  

For an excellent example of a classic French chocolate cake, try the Fleur De Lys.  It’s moist, mellow and totally indulgent.  Simple yet decadent, it’s equally good for afternoon tea, or as a dinner party dessert jazzed up with fresh berries and cream, it’s a real treat.

To order your French cake, c’est facile.  Just make your selection (remember to choose the number of portions you want if you’re ordering a Fraisier, Framboisier, Craquant or Forêt Noire), add your personal message (most of our French cakes can be personalised), and place your order.  Et voilà!
