Feel Festive Everyday: Christmas Sandwiches

THE WAIT IS OVER.  Our tasty, tempting trio of Christmas Sandwiches has arrived in our bakeries, with a much-loved favourite returning and two exciting new sandwiches making their debut.  Get that Christmas feeling every day, as well as helping us to support The Felix Project.


When we launched our Dinde de Noëlthe Christmas Turkey Sandwich  – back in 2016, we were very proud of the specially created sage, onion and cranberry bread with its generous filling of moist turkey slices, smoky bacon, fresh spinach and a cream cheese and horseradish sauce.  We felt we’d captured a true taste of Christmas.  To our delight, Time Out agreed with us, promptly voting it London’s No. 1 Christmas Sandwich, an accolade we retained in 2017 and 2018.  It’s back in our bakeries today, so enjoy.


In 2017 and 2018 Time Out also awarded us No. 2 Christmas sandwich – so fingers crossed for 2019!  After three years of sandwich success, this year we’re giving back and donating money from the sale of one of our fabulous new Christmas sandwiches – as you’ll see below.

We’re delighted with this new sandwich featuring succulent oven-baked pork chipolatas, wrapped in smoked streaky bacon, nestling in a specially created bacon and onion baguette with Brussels sprouts, char-grilled red onion and a fruity plum & balsamic chutney.  It’s deliciously Christmassy and what’s more, for every Festive Pig Sandwich you buy this season, from 5th November until the end of Christmas, we’ll donate 50p to our chosen charity, The Felix Project. This is our fourth year supporting The Felix Project after three successful years of Christmas fund-raising through donating money from the sale of our freshly baked bread.  Please do join us in supporting their wonderful work.



Last year The Guardian awarded us No. 1 in their tasting of Christmas vegan sandwiches.  This year’s vegan sandwich is a heart-felt homage to the sprout, with a heavenly host of colourful and tasty ingredients.  Our sage, onion and cranberry bread is filled with roasted Brussels sprouts, houmous, fresh spinach, grilled carrots, sweet chestnuts and pickled red cabbage, with a little PAUL orange jam for sweetness and a satisfying tang of Old English chutney.  We think you’re going to love it – and you definitely don’t have to be a vegan or a veggie to enjoy it.
