Celebrate Bastille Day at PAUL - 14th July
Bastille Day commemorates the symbolic storming of the infamous Bastille fortress in 1789, 100 years before PAUL was founded in 1889. The 14th July was declared a national holiday in 1880, just 9 years before we opened our first bakery in Croix near Lille. Today it’s all about celebrating Liberté, Egalité and Fraternité. There’s a magnificent parade on the Champs-Elysées. All over the country a vast amount of food is consumed and magnificent fireworks are enjoyed.
On the other side of La Manche we love to join in with the celebrations, with special limited edition treats and give-aways.
