A Letter From Our CEO Regarding Covid-19

Firstly I'd like to thank you for your continued support throughout these unprecedented times.

 

I want to personally reassure you that while many of our local bakeries are still open for business as usual, the welfare of our customers and our teams is our highest priority. We're closely following the advice of the government and WHO in all our bakeries regarding the most rigorous standards of hygiene and travel procedures.

 

From Friday 20th March 2020, we will be implementing the following measures across all of our bakeries:

 

  1. FREE coffee and tea for NHS workers – To thank UK health professionals for their amazing hard work during these tough times, we'll be offering free takeaway coffee and tea to all NHS staff.
  2. Enjoy a free loaf on us - We are offering buy one get one free on our 400g and 800g bread loaves to enjoy and send to family, friends and loved ones.
  3. Deliveries - We are looking to expand our delivery service as soon as possible, so we can continue to support the community. Currently we run our own service and same day delivery is also available via UberEats.
  4. Takeaway only - We will be temporarily closing all seating areas and removing all crockery.
  5. Reusable cups – We have paused the use of reusable cups, however we will continue to honour the 50p discount to those who bring in their own cup.
  6. Contactless payments – We will only accept contactless payment methods, this will be implemented across all shops by the end of next week.

 

We continue to follow developments and advice closely and will take whatever action is required to keep our customers and our teams safe and well. You can expect some changes to our opening hours as we respond to changing needs, and a handful of our shops will be closing temporarily until further notice.

We are committed to looking after our staff while we are adapting, and we continue to donate our unsold food to those who need it most, at the end of each day.
